Just over 43,000, or 56%, of the vehicles registered in the Isle of Man are powered by petrol. 31,000 (41%) are powered by diesel.

The remaining 2,000 vehicles are powered by either hybrid, electric, or other fuel sources (mostly gas – but there is, allegedly, one coal powered vehicle!).
