BBC Report on eviction of man who lives in the woods

The Isle of Man’s Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture has already wasted too much Manx taxpayer money in pursuing Daniel Richardson, the man living in a cabin in the woods near Ramsey, and should stop wasting more money on this absurd endeavour, according to the Manx TaxPayers’ Alliance.

“Daniel Richardson has reportedly lived in his eco-home for several years, and was nominated for a UNESCO Biosphere award in 2019. Trying to evict the man from his off-grid home is a waste of time, money and resources, especially given that Mr Richardson has been caring for the land for many years,” said Michael Josem of the Manx TaxPayers’ Alliance.

The Isle of Man Government should stop wasting taxpayer resources on this endeavour.

The Manx TaxPayers’ Alliance has submitted a request for relevant records from the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture under the Freedom of Information Act. This will help to understand how much taxpayer money has been wasted on this court case.
