According to the standard international definition, 707 people were estimated to be unemployed in the Isle of Man in March 2022. This is a decrease of 35 unemployed people compared to the 742 unemployed people in February 2022.
At the beginning of April, the Isle of Man Government increased the minimum wage for people in the Isle of Man, without much support to help improve staff productivity. There are fears that this policy change may increase unemployment in the coming months.
